Your portal to the future πŸ’«

Subscribing to the edison365 API via the Azure API portal is a straightforward process. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Step 0: Request Access

Use the form in this article to request an edison365 developer account. API documentation is sensitive so we won't give it out to just anyone!

Step 1: Visit the Azure API Portal

Navigate to the Azure API portal at https://my-devportal.edison365.com/.

Step 2: Sign In

Take your pick of Sign In button located in the center of the homepage and at the top right corner. You will be redirected to the Azure AD SSO authentication page. Enter your credentials and sign in.

Step 3: Find the edison365 Public API Documentation

Click the APIs tab in the toolbar.

Then, look for the β€œedison365 Public API - v1” in the list.

Once opened, you can peruse the list of operations to get a feel for what's possible.

Step 4: Subscribe

Click on Products tab, then the Subscribe button to get updates. You may be asked to accept the terms and conditions of using the API. Please read these carefully before accepting.

Step 5: Generate API Key

After subscribing, you can generate your own API key. This key is used to authenticate your requests when using the edison365 API. You can find your keys in the Profile section.

Step 6: Start Using the API

With your API key, you’re now ready to start using the edison365 API. You can use this key to authenticate your requests to the various endpoints of the edison365 API, such as ProjectReports, ProjectTableRows, and others.

Warning: Remember do not give this key out. Whoever has it can access the data within your edison365 app. You are responsible for keeping it safe!

Along with your key, when using the API, you’ll need to provide the edison365-tenant and edison365-instance parameters in your requests. These represent your tenant and instance names, respectively.

Tip: The tenant and instance names make up your URL, like so:
