Exporting a Power BI online report allows you to share your insights with others who may not have access to Power BI. Hereβs a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
Step 1: Sign In to Power BI
First, navigate to the Power BI service at https://app.powerbi.com and sign in with your Microsoft account credentials.
Step 2: Open Your Report
Once youβre signed in, navigate to the workspace that contains the report you want to export. Click on the report to open it.
Step 3: Click on the Export Button
With the report open, click on the βFileβ menu located at the top left corner of the screen, then select βExport toβ.
Step 4: Choose an Export Option
Youβll see several options for exporting your report, including:
- PowerPoint (PPTX): This will export your report as a PowerPoint presentation. Each page in your report will be a slide in the presentation.
- PDF: This will export your report as a PDF document. Each page in your report will be a page in the PDF.
- Excel (XLSX): This will export the data used in your report as an Excel workbook.
Step 5: Wait for the Export Process to Complete
After youβve chosen an export option, Power BI will start the export process. This may take a few moments. Once the export process is complete, youβll see a success message.
Step 6: Download Your Exported Report
Click on the success message to download your exported report. The report will be downloaded to your default download location.
Remember, the exported report is a static snapshot of the data at the time of export. It wonβt update if the data in Power BI changes. If you need a dynamic, interactive version of your report, consider sharing the report instead using a Workspace.
