Decommissioning edison365

Overview 📄

In the event that you'd like to to decommission the apps there are a few steps to take to ensure removal of the app and retention of your data. If you have questions about this process please reach out to Support!

SharePoint Apps 🖥️

Retaining Your Data

  1. All your data is already hosted on your infrastructure:
    1. for edison365ideas the app data is in the SharePoint site collection lists
      1. For information on Exporting SharePoint Lists
    2. for OpenInnovation, Gamification the data is stored in your Azure SQL DB
    3. for edison365businesscase and edison365projects the data is stored in you Azure SQL DB
      1. For information on Importing & Exporting Data from Azure SQL DBs
      2. to check which DB and which account stores and accesses your data, go to Manage Database in the admin menu:

         

Removing the App(s) from your SharePoint Tenant

  1. Navigate to the Site Contents where the app was hosted.
  2. Right click on the edison365 app and click remove.
  3. Then go to the recycle bin and delete, then again from the second stage recycle bin for permanent removal
  4. Navigate to the SharePoint App Catalog (yourcompanyaddress.sharepoint.com/sites/appcatalog/AppCatalog)
  5. Click Apps for SharePoint in the navigation pane
  6. Click the three dots next to the edison365 app you'd like to delete
  7. Then go to the recycle bin and delete, then again from the second stage recycle bin for permanent removal
  8. Once you have completed this please let the Support team know which URLs to decommission from our end. We will then remove your instance data from our system.

New App ☁️

Retaining Your Data

  1. Your data is retained for 30 days after the end of your contract to allow you to access any data you'd like to maintain after decommissioning the app
  2. Use our API Portal to access any of the data you'd like to export from the app

Removing the App from your Azure Portal

  1. Navigate to your Azure Entra ID portal. You will need admin access.
  2. Click Enterprise Applications and select edison365
  3. Click Properties in the navigation bar
  4. Click Delete
  5. Confirm Deletion
