In the event that you'd like to to decommission the apps there are a few steps to take to ensure removal of the app and retention of your data. If you have questions about this process please reach out to Support!
SharePoint Apps 🖥️
Retaining Your Data
- All your data is already hosted on your infrastructure:
- for edison365ideas the app data is in the SharePoint site collection lists
- For information on Exporting SharePoint Lists
- for OpenInnovation, Gamification the data is stored in your Azure SQL DB
- for edison365businesscase and edison365projects the data is stored in you Azure SQL DB
- For information on Importing & Exporting Data from Azure SQL DBs
- to check which DB and which account stores and accesses your data, go to Manage Database in the admin menu:
- for edison365ideas the app data is in the SharePoint site collection lists
Removing the App(s) from your SharePoint Tenant
- Navigate to the Site Contents where the app was hosted.
- Right click on the edison365 app and click remove.
- Then go to the recycle bin and delete, then again from the second stage recycle bin for permanent removal
- Navigate to the SharePoint App Catalog (yourcompanyaddress.sharepoint.com/sites/appcatalog/AppCatalog)
- Click Apps for SharePoint in the navigation pane
- Click the three dots next to the edison365 app you'd like to delete
- Then go to the recycle bin and delete, then again from the second stage recycle bin for permanent removal
- Once you have completed this please let the Support team know which URLs to decommission from our end. We will then remove your instance data from our system.
New App ☁️
Retaining Your Data
- Your data is retained for 30 days after the end of your contract to allow you to access any data you'd like to maintain after decommissioning the app
- Use our API Portal to access any of the data you'd like to export from the app
Removing the App from your Azure Portal
- Navigate to your Azure Entra ID portal. You will need admin access.
- Click Enterprise Applications and select edison365
- Click Properties in the navigation bar
- Click Delete
- Confirm Deletion
