Configuration Options
Periodic Unit
There are four options.
- Weeks
- Months
- Quarters
- Years
This will affect the view in which users can input data.
For example, if you set the unit to:
Weeks. Users would only be able to enter values for the first date of each week 03 July 2023, 10 July 2023, 17 July 2023...
Months. Users would only be able to enter values for Jan, Feb, Mar...
Quarters. Users would only be able to enter values for Q1 2020, Q2 2020, Q3 2020...
Years. Users would only be able to enter values for years 2022, 2023, 2024...
Data Type
There are two options: Number and Currency. This will affect the format of the output data:
- Number - just data shown.
- Currency - data displayed with currency symbol.
When selecting Currency a list of global currencies will appear. All currencies are listed in the following format: (GBP - Pound Sterling - £).
Adding a Field to a Table
Fields can only be added once per table.
To add a Field to a Table, follow these steps:
- From the Table configuration.
- Within the left panel.
- Select the corresponding field category (System or Custom). Please see Fields for more information on creating/editing fields.
- Click the expand arrow on the right-hand side of the corresponding field type.
- Click the field name. The field will then appear within the right-hand panel and grey out on the left-hand panel. This field is now added to the table.
Remove a Field from a Table
- From the Table configuration.
- Within the right panel.
- Click the delete icon on the right-hand side of the field.
- The field will then be removed within the right-hand panel and the field name will return to full colour on the left-hand panel.
System Fields
Can't delete a field? This is a System Field.
System Fields are permanent fields created by edison365, enabling core functionality across the system. They cannot be deleted.
