      Full- scale Onboarding Implementation

      The all inclusive, full fat Implementation 🌴 edison365 takes on all the heavy lifting, from configuration and reporting, to analytics and insights 🚀

      In this article:

      Project timeline

      Weeks 1 - 4 are about preparing to launch and discovering all your needs!

      Weeks 4 - 12 focus on configuring the app and developing reports 📊

      Weeks 9 - 12 is time for your admins and champions to swat up on all things edison365!

      Dependencies

      1. Pre-Launch Planning- complete and return the deployment form.
        1. Without this, we can't install the app!
      2. Pre-Launch Planning- create and add an internal account for your consultant. 
        1. Without this, we can't configure the app!
      3. Pre-Reporting Discovery- come equipped with all your reporting needs.
        1. If you need specific things in your reports, we need to know them now, we can't start development without knowing all your requirements. We cannot accept additional requirements once we have started development!
      4. Pre-Reporting Workshop- ensure one team member has a Power BI Pro license.
        1. Without this, you can't publish your report!
      5. Pre- Reporting Workshop- Set up Power BI file from your consultant. By creating a workspace, publishing the report and scheduling it to refresh.
        1. Without this, you can't use your report!
      6. Throughout Implementation- anyone new joining our sessions must be up to speed on the edison365 journey.
        1. If they don't know what we're talking about, we lose time in revisiting old topics!

      🚨Get ahead of the game by ticking these jobs off early. If the tasks aren't completed before the relevant sessions, your Implementation will be delayed.🚨

      Preparation

      Kickoff ✔️

      To introduce you to the world of edison365, familiarize your team with the implementation journey and let you know what to expect moving forward .  To be acquainted with one another and have an understanding of your aims and intentions. You will have clear insight on the work ahead and knowledge of the implementation process. Arrive prepared with:
      • Key team members.
      • A summary of your goals.
      • Details on use case and any key deadlines. 

      Orientation 🗺️

      Purpose Outcome Your Homework

      To bring your whole team up to speed on what edison365 is and does.

      You will learn the fundamentals of the edison365 solution.

      You'll be prepared for detailed discussions on desired functionality.

      Arrive prepared with:

        • Key team members

      Strategic Discovery 💡

       Purpose  Outcome Your Homework
      To discuss and review your current and desired strategy. From detailed operational strategies to alignment with company mission- we want to know it all! We will have a clear understanding of how your operate and your aims and objectives. We will carry forward this intel when we build the platform. To get ready:
      • Gather supporting materials on your company or team strategy.
      • Prepare to present this info to us.

      Discovery 🔥

      Purpose Outcome Your Homework

      To dive into your requirements.

      A product-led session to show the functionality of the platform and discuss your needs and preferences for each element.

      To capture all information on your needs, allowing us to build the platform.

      For this, It is critical that necessary configuration decisions be made during this session!

      		 Before the session:
      • Map out key data you need to capture from users.
      • Pull together existing templates for your current processes.

      Configuration

      Playback 🎬

       Purpose  Outcome Your Homework

      This session will be a presentation and guided tour of your configured platform.

      This is your chance to review the tool and request changes.

      For you, familiarity with the personalized platform.

      For edison365, we will leave these sessions with a list of changes to fine tune the configuration.

      		 For each review:
      • Clarify your desired strategy and processes.
      • Highlight any changes to the requirements you gave in Discovery.
      • Make decisions, and sign off on the configuration.

      Reporting Discovery 🧠

      Purpose Outcome Your Homework

       To understand how you will use the data from edison365 to provide reporting insights within Power BI.

      To decide what data to include, how to track and surface this info. 

      A full list of your reporting requirements, allowing us to begin development work immediately.

      ⚠️It's crucial that you can tell us what you need during this session.

      You should review this internally before our session.

      		 For us to be successful:
      • Bring along current reports or templates.
      • Make a list of crucial data you need to report on.
      • Think on how you need to see the data, colors, charts, tables, formats..
      • Swat up on Power BI.

      Education

      Reporting Workshop ⭐ 

      Purpose Outcome Your Homework

      To verify your reports are set up and working correctly.

      We want to view the published report and make sure you know how to use it.

      This will be a quick introduction to Power BI, not a training session.

       A fully functioning report to go hand in hand with edison365.

      After this point, edison365 will not be responsible for upkeeping or modifying your reports.

      		 For this session:
      • Make sure at least one team/ IT team member has a Power BI Pro license.
      • Publish the file received from your Consultant. 
      • Vet the report for issues.

      Admin Training 🔍

      Purpose Outcome  Your Homework

       To teach you how to administer a the platform independently, training will focus on the back end of edison365.

      We will cover all sections of the admin panel, keeping your needs in mind.

       A fully trained team who can confidently develop and configure edison365.

      Going forward you will be able to create new templates and change your existing ones. 

       All attendees must:

      • Have knowledge of the front end of edison365.
      • Be familiar with the apps core functions.

      Champion Training 🏅

      Purpose Outcome Your Homework

       To train a selected group of end users on how to use edison365.

      We will teach the team to use the front end of the platform; how to add, manage, collaborate and interact with submissions.

      The result will be a small group of upskilled superusers, who can promote and support the launch and adoption of edison365 ✅

      		 For this session:
      • Select your group of champions, paying attention to their user role.
      • Let your consultant know who to expect and what their role is!
