Project Customization Checklist

We have pulled together a to-do 📄 list for you that will help you customize projects that work for you 🥇

Admin Feature Description Remember Priority

Fields

The key ingredients to get your users to enter the data you need them to to deliver your projects. There are default fields already set up in the software but if you want anything more bespoke then you need to prioritize this feature. There are soooo many different field types so use them to your advantage 🔴 High
Tables If you want to structure your fields in a way that allows multiple data entry points in a user friendly, efficient way then a table is for you. For projects, the starter table will be your Task Table- apart from this, it is totally up to you but you will see a number of default tables already there and waiting for you. Table view settings- vital for set up and user experience  🟠 Medium
Forms Forms bring together your fields and tables into a super easy, user friendly structure that get your users to input data and manage projects in exactly the way you need them to. Use tabs to break up your forms 🔴 High
Cards The way your projects are presented in the front end- this is what your users will see when the projects are displayed on the Home, Projects and Personal Pages. Every Workflow will need a card so make sure this is set up as a priority. Don't be worried if the fields don't appear on the cards at first- The fields will need to have data inputted on the project record before they display on the card. 🔴 High
Workflows Workflows are where your business and team's processes live. Workflows allow you to control all of your data entry, approvals and project controls. Workflows are a vital piece of the puzzle for the customization of the software. Workflows don't need to be complicated- just have a simple stage if that works for you. 🔴 High
Templates Templates are the final step before you can start creating projects. Templates are where you dictate who has access and who does what (who approves, creates and manages) in your projects. One workflow per template. One template per capability (challenges, ideas, business case and projects) 🔴 High
News A feature that allows you to directly communicate with your end users. This feature allows you to have full blog posts and training directly in the software. Super-cool new feature for the software. You can time the news to appear whenever you need it to- create all of your content ahead of time and have to appear just in time for your end users. 🟢 Low
Calendars The feature that allows you to manage your Task Tables and Resources in a way that suites your business processes. There is a Default Calendar that is Monday-Friday 8 hours/day so you don't need to do anything here but if your business or teams work in a different way then you may wish to prioritize this feature.  Assign these calendars to your Task Tables and Resources- this gives you flexibility as to how you manage your time and people. 🟢 Low

Remember, you need to follow the following methodology to configure your project capabilities correctly:

  1. Fields, then;
  2. Tables, then;
  3. Forms, then;
  4. Cards, then;
  5. Workflow, then;
  6. Templates, done.
